A clearer view of what is changing.

Your monthly check-in combines walking endurance, heel-raise strength, single-leg balance, and self-reported comfort into a 0–100 snapshot. The score reflects completed inputs. It is not a diagnosis or universal fitness grade.

StepArc functional check-in screen

A check-in you can repeat

Record walking minutes, heel raises, balance time, and discomfort. Optional navicular measurement stays separate from Arc Score.

StepArc personal progress and load screen

Your baseline, not “normal”

Walking Trends compares your recent seven days with your prior 21-day personal baseline and shows how much data supports the comparison.

StepArc Today screen with a support-session recommendation

Train without a no-skip rule

Choose a support session, guided walk, adaptation, or gentle day. Partial sessions and appropriate stops are recorded honestly.

What goes into Arc Score.

Arc Score is calculated only from the check-in values you complete. Navicular drop is available as a separate optional structural measurement and does not change the score.

Make completed sessions add up.

Guided walks and support sessions add virtual elevation based on active time. When you finish one expedition, extra elevation carries into the next.

What StepArc actually does.

WEEKLY LOAD

See the spike before the streak

StepArc compares the current seven days with the previous seven and flags increases above 15% as load-spike context.

PROGRESSION

Hold when inputs change

If recent comfort or balance inputs drop meaningfully, the progression gate favors holding steady instead of automatically adding more.

WALKING TRENDS

Compare against your own baseline

Recent walking metrics are compared with your prior 21-day baseline. StepArc shows data-day count, source, and freshness instead of calling a universal range good or bad.

DATA

Apple Health stays optional

With permission, StepArc reads activity and walking context on device. It works without a StepArc account, analytics SDK, or cloud backend.

General wellness, not medical care.

StepArc supports fitness tracking, education, and self-reflection. It cannot diagnose an injury or medical condition and is not a substitute for professional care. Pause and consider medical care if discomfort is sharp, worsening, unusual, or changes your walking.
