StepArc Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StepArc ("StepArc", "we", "us", or "our"). By using StepArc, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What StepArc Is

StepArc is a walking-based fitness and progress-tracking app for people who want lower-impact training. It includes guided training, walking load tracking, Arc Score tracking, optional foot-resilience measurements, pain and readiness logs, and virtual mountain progress.

StepArc is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, or emergency services.

2. Health and Safety

You are responsible for deciding whether StepArc is appropriate for you. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing a fitness program, especially if you have pain, injury, a medical condition, balance issues, diabetes, nerve symptoms, recent surgery, or concerns about your feet, ankles, knees, hips, or back.

Stop using StepArc and seek medical advice if you experience severe pain, worsening symptoms, swelling, numbness, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, inability to bear weight, or any symptom that concerns you.

StepArc may display educational red-flag guidance and suggest that you consider clinical review. That guidance is informational only and is not a diagnosis, treatment instruction, or emergency triage service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use StepArc. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use StepArc only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

StepArc is currently launching as a free app.

We may add paid features, subscriptions, or trials in the future. If we do, pricing, trial availability, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation details will be shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm payment, and these Terms will be updated as appropriate.

If paid features are added later, payment will be charged to your Apple ID through the App Store and managed under Apple's subscription and refund processes.

6. Refunds

If StepArc adds paid features in the future, purchases and refund requests will be processed by Apple under Apple's App Store policies. StepArc does not control Apple's refund decisions.

7. App Availability and Changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of StepArc at any time. We may add, remove, or modify features, exercises, scores, recommendations, or content.

We try to keep StepArc available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Third-Party Services

StepArc may rely on third-party services, including Apple HealthKit and Apple platform services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

StepArc may include links or recommendations for third-party products or sites. We are not responsible for third-party products, websites, services, claims, policies, or purchases.

9. Intellectual Property

StepArc, including its design, software, content, branding, training structure, graphics, and related materials, is owned by StepArc or its licensors and is protected by law.

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use StepArc for your own personal use, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.

10. User Content and Data

You retain responsibility for the information you enter into StepArc. You grant StepArc permission to use that information to operate and personalize the app, calculate scores, show progress, and improve reliability as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. No Warranties

StepArc is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StepArc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or other damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use StepArc.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

13. Termination

You may stop using StepArc at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create risk, or if required by law or platform rules.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or through the App Store. Continued use of StepArc after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
